Broadway & Exchange Place

BROAD STREET AND EXCHANGE PLACE SUBWAY ELEVATORS

A pair of subway access elevators on Broad Street and Exchange Place, proposed by Madison Equities in conjunction with their development of 45 Broad Street.  Designed by Urbahn Architects, the elevators required approval by LPC because they would create incursions into the landmarked Colonial-era road bed.  Developed the LPC presentation in coordination with the architect, and presented it at public hearings before the community board and LPC.
